Apocalypse Sailor Moon

The streets of Tokyo just seemed...dirty. It seemed the same as always - the street was empty, with roadlights buzzing and crickets chirping, but there was something just...off about the town.

"What happened here?" Minako muttered out, the fear so very evident in the whisper.

Nobody had any answer, but couldn't even say that before a scream echoed in the street. Together, the five turned. A young woman ran at top speed, with a great red youma not too far away.

"Youma!" Rei lowered into a defensive stance, hands pulled together in a miko attack.

They huddled together, ready to attack as the woman ran closer and closer - and the youma getting closer and closer to her.

Just as the youma reached out his arm for the woman, they all saw a quick downswipe and - the youma was gone.

Remains of the creature lay on the street, on either side of a sword. Mamoru followed the blade up and..."Usagi?" Blonde odangos rose up and chilling blue eyes, once full of life, turned up and stared back at the five of them.

A Sailor Moon AU where everybody left during STARS, leaving Usagi alone - and then everything went wrong.
